Volunteers Needed

To make the Holy Cross auction a successful evening, many adult and teenage volunteers will be needed! We will need volunteers to set up at the Vasa Park Ballroom, work shifts during the auction, and clean up afterwards. Please see the complete list on the reverse.

Set up will be on Saturday, May 17^th from 9:00am - noon at the Vasa Park Ballroom and will consist of putting up decorations, setting up the check in and check out areas, preparing the silent and live auction tables and preparing other tables as needed.

The evening will be broken down into shifts so that volunteers can still enjoy the evening. Shifts will consist of check in, moving procurement items when a silent auction section ends, live auction activities and check out. Clean up will begin as soon as the auction is over.

Volunteer training will be on Wednesday May 14^th at 7pm at Holy Cross.  Come and join the fun and get to know other people while helping out!

Compile a music CD to be played during the evening.

Decorate/Host a Guest Table

You provide a table cloth and 8 place settings including dinner plate, dessert plate, knife, fork, dessert spoon, napkin (cloth or paper), wine glass and water glass. The color choice is up to you. The centerpiece will be provided and it will be multicolored. You will be asked to set up your table on Thursday evening or sometime between 9am and 4pm on May 4^th. We have bus bins that you are welcome to use. You may also drop off the items and other volunteers can set up your table. You will also take home your table items at the end of the evening. If you cannot attend the auction but would like to decorate a table, a volunteer can take care of it for you. The place setting does not have to be your best china, especially if you are afraid of breakage. The idea is to have fun with friends in a comfortable yet elegant atmosphere.

50/50 Auction

Solicit donations to the 50/50 event on the evening.

Auction Runners

Lots of running back and forth between auction tables and recorders.

Auction Recorders

Record items procured by bid number.

Live Auction Recorders

Record items procured by bid number during the live auction.

Check Out

Help guests confirm procured items and find items to take home.

Clean Up

About 40 minutes afterwards.
