Summer 2008

  • Rite 13 Mission to Yakima Indian Reservation

    June 22-27

By crossing borders of race and culture, and by placing students outside their comfort zones, something wonderful happens: God gets their attention! Without the distractions of everyday life, God uses Missions to work in the lives of our teenagers. In being faithful to our purpose, we find God is also at work in each of the communities we serve. Our missionaries will help in the repair of homes. Our missionaries will help in the repair of homes assist in meal prep, participate in personal devotion time, experience fun and cultural evening activities with Jesus Christ as their model.

  • J2A Pilgrimage to Greece in the Footsteps of Paul

    June 20 - 29

Pilgrimage is an ancient form of spiritual deepening.  From the earliest days of Christianity, Christian pilgrims have traveled, prayed, and meditated at holy sites in Jerusalem, Turkey and throughout the world. These sacred sites are not magical. However, the gift of deep understanding and meaning is often found by walking in the footsteps of Jesus and the Christian witnesses such as the greatest Apostle, Paul.

These past two years of spiritual growth for our J2A group will culminate with the Pilgrimage to Greece. They will be following in the Footsteps of the Apostle Paul in his journey through Greece

  • YAC June

    28-July 6

Our missionaries will provide home repairs, community service, or a combination of both. Their service will be a clear expression of God’s love to those they serve. They may paint and weatherize tired, aging houses or build and repair porches and steps, conduct a sports camp or VBS for kids, assist the elderly, or meet other important needs of the community. Afterwards the local churches they’ll work with will continue the service, using their efforts as a springboard to reach the men, women, and children of Belize. City.

  • Winter Break 2009

Juarez, Mexico House Building - intergenerational mission

    February 15 - 20, 2009

Monday through Thursday we take a short drive from Juarez, MX to Colonia Anapra to build a modest 450 square foot home for a blessed family chosen by local pastors.  Although the material poverty is pervasive, the grace of God is abundant, and the human spirit is resilient in Anapra.  In the end, it’s hard to out-give God, and many find the week’s experience to be a rich blessing.  After the houses are built, we celebrate with a house blessing for the families, some shopping in the Mercado, and a celebration dinner with our Mexican house-building crew as honored guests.  Further info and photos from last year.
